Grim Grimm Tales

Synopsis

Grimmer than Grimm In the land of the storyteller the coming of the night is marked by a different rhythm, not the rhythm of the day but the rhythm of the night ... SUSPECT Productions are branching out! The company who specialise in performing scripted murder mystery plays at venues throughout the North East are bringing their unique approach to gruesome tales remembered from your childhood. Grim Grimm's Tales is a production of six of the more horrifying tales from the Brothers Grimm. Tales of enchantment and rapture, terror and wisdom, tragedy and beauty. Tales told centuries ago around the fireplace to entranced listeners, listeners spellbound by the occasionally dark insights married together with profound beauty and innocence. Writers Alex Oates and Kathy Paul combine their talents to breath fresh life into these ancient stories. The tales chosen are some of the less well known - there's no Cinderella or Snow White - but who could fail to be moved by The Girl Without Hands and the trials of The Valiant Little Tailor? Performed in the magnificent setting of the Castle Keep, SUSPECTproductions promise you a night of joy and laughter, tears and torment. Performance dates: Wednesday 23rd August to Saturday 26th August 2006 starts 7.30pm Tickets 7 (5 under 16 and concessions) are available from Castle Keep box office.
